Travel ArrangementsAirCopper Mountain Resort Colorado is a 1 hour and 45 minute drive from Denver International Airport and about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Vail/Eagle County Airport. The Vail Pass (on Rt 70) is frequently closed if there is a big snowstorm. Flying into Denver is a safer option. The resort has contracts with several airlines including Frontier, United, Delta, and
Northwest. If you use their contracted rate, you can hold tickets until 14 days before departure and
change/cancel without penalty. Please contact Roberta Fish,
Travel coordinator, at 1-800-874-3170 or email at
Fishr@coppercolorado.com for more info. Ground TransportationCopper Mountin Resort has contracted discounts with Colorado Mountain Express, Hertz, and Budget for ground transportation.  Due to unpredictable weather conditions (snow!!!), we recommend leaving the driving to Colorado Mountain Express. They provide van service from the airport to the hotel. Booking though Copper Mountain Resort, 1-800-874-3170, the discounted one way fare from the Denver airport is $65.90. If you book directly with Colorado Mountain Express the fare is also $65.90 (group Code IEEE, Phone 1-800-334-7433). Feel free to tip your driver ($2). You can ask to stop for a bathroom break.
Once at the resort, a car is not necessary. The resort has
shopping and dining areas all within walking distance. The
resort also offers a free shuttle within the three village areas (we
are in the Village at Copper).
The SUMMIT
STAGE offers free service within Summit County. |
