Accommodations

The Conference is being held at the Copper Mountain Resort,   Copper Mountain, CO 80443.  We will be in the Village at Copper.  You can walk from your hotel room to skiing, shopping, dining, and the conference center.  We have negotiated VERY favorable rates and strongly encourage you to stay in  the conference rooms to meet our room guarantees.  The rates are good from January 4, 2008 to January 12, 2008.   The reservation cut-off date is Saturday, December 8, 2007, 5pm Mountain time.   Reservations after this date will be accepted on a space available basis at the conference rate.  For reservations call 1-866-837-2996 and reference "IEEE group code 3G61SY".   You can also email or fax the reservation form (in WORD) (in PDF). Instructions are on the form.

The resort has several building choices and 2 room types -- silver and gold. View the village map at Copper Mountain Lodging Options and select the Village at Copper Lodging to view the room details. Remember, free Wireless High Speed internet will be available in the meeting space as well as in our IEEE computer room.  Conference Attendees also have free internet access at  the Resort's Business Center in the Conference Center Building.

The Hotel will require a deposit in advance from individual guests to guarantee a particular reservation.  To guarantee an individual reservation, a guest must either (1) send a check or money order covering 15% of the total reservation, or (2) send a signed letter authorizing the Hotel to charge the room deposit and applicable sales tax to the guest's major credit card and include card number and expiration date -- see reservation form above, or (3) give the guest's major credit card by telephone. The balance on the room reservation will be billed to the credit card number on file 21 days prior to arrival.

Cancellation Policy: If canceled 30 days or more prior to arrival date, refund on the deposit amount received will be made less 10 percent.  If canceled less than 30 days prior to arrival date, the individual is subject to full forfeiture of the reservation value.  The Hotel will allow name changes without any penalty.  All guaranteed reservations will receive either written or verbal confirmation from the Hotel.

In the event that an attendee who has reserved a room within the Society’s room block checks out prior to the reserved check-out date, the Hotel will still charge for one hundred (100) percent of the remaining room nights.  This may be waived for emergency situations but must by authorized by the Hotel.  Attendees are asked to make every effort to inform the Hotel in advance of any changes to their planned length of stay.
Don't forget to pack sunscreen and aspirin!!
